On Friday, we drove up to Indy to get Michael some new shoes. But before that, we stopped off to walk around a bit at the White River Garden. They have their butterfly exhibit going on now and we just love that. I took some pics and I'll post some when I get on my other computer tomorrow. :)
So we made it up north to Runner's Forum. Michael decided that his "old" shoes were giving him too much arch support. While they were "curing" him of walking on the outside of his heels, they came to the conclusion that you don't take a 63 year-old guy and try to teach him how to walk! He was tearing up his knees in order to save shoes. How dumb is that? His knees felt instantly better when he put on his new Adidas shoes!
After the shoe errand, we went to Shapiro's and then to Handel's for ice cream. Mmmm :) And thanks to daylight saving time (the only good thing that our governor has done), it was still light when we got home.
Yesterday we went to Nashville, Indiana where we did a little shopping, getting some things at the Life is Good store, J.B.Goods. Lupper at the Nashville House and then a trip to the Nut House and Michael's knees were ready to call it a day. I walked back, got the car, and spun around, picked Michael up in front of the Nut House, and then we headed back to Bloomington.
On NPR yesterday, there was an author who said that a person should write as if all the people they know are dead. Made me think...
Rain, sun, rain, sun! That's what we had today on our way to Louisville and back. We had a pleasant visit with George and Angie and then went to the California Pizza Kitchen for supper. We love their Fusilli with Broccoli and Sundried Tomatoes... with chicken! We get one bowl and then share it. We also shared a Caesar Salad, something I've recently decided that I like.
