I'm sitting here sick today (just a sore throat which I hope abates quickly), so thought I'd catch up on email (working on it) and my photos. I have taken pathetically few photos, but did get the cam out when Jack and I went to Ludington on Friday.
After we did our "official" walk on the sand, we went back and got our cameras and headed out on the jetty to the lighthouse:
Along the way, we saw many cormorants, which displayed their elegance and beauty for us.
Here's Jack!
And here are some photos of the lakeshore dune grasses:

Hey sis...Sorry to hear you are sick. Some of us have been a little under the weather here, too, but nothing really too serious. Steve still likes his job and that's great.
ReplyDeleteThe pictures are great. It looks so lovely in the warm weather there...but...boy, a few months, you will be digging yourself out of the snow, not the sand ;-)
I got the oil changed and a new air filter. I am loving the car and getting used to not having all the bells and whistles the other car had.
Keep up the communication...I worry you know! Love you. Sis.
please put up a better picture of Jack so we can see his face better. Thanks! The other pictures are really good, especially the ones of the birds.
ReplyDeleteAs always, great pictures, but YES! We all want to see a better view of Jack.
ReplyDeleteLove, Kathryn
Seriously, YOU WANT to see Jack's face! You guys don't know what you are asking!! Save yourselves...run now, shut down the computer, consider yourselves lucky.
ReplyDeleteJanee is doing us all a huge favor!!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA - This was for John's benefit. ;-)
Love you Jack. Love you, too, John. Little Sis.
By any chance is there still a car ferry running from Ludington to Milwaukee. Decades ago there was. I rode it when I took a bicycle trip around Lakes Michigan and Superior. We lived in a northwestern suburb of Chicago. To avoid the terrible traffic and bicycle unfriendly roads at the southern tip of Lake Michigan I rode up to Milwaukee and then took the ferry across the lake to Ludington. It was so neat for a 16 year old.
ReplyDeleteHey we will miss you around Bloomington. Now right now I am tr4ying to find the lighter for my furnace and am wondering if you are not really making a mistake. After all right now you need to be headed South not North ;-)
