A Short Drive

We drove today from Alpine, TX down to Terlingua, TX, right down on the border of Mexico, in the Big Bend area of Texas. We visited the Terlingua Ghost Town, and it was very cool, with many ruins. The town was abandoned with the beginning of WWII, so it's a somewhat "new" ghost town. We had a great time, and got some cool photos! (I'll be posting these soon!)

We're staying tonight at Terlingua, in a pleasant, though loud, campground. It's hot, but there's a nice breeze. We're considering putting on the AC just to drown out the biker noise.

  1. Biker noise. Now that sounds like a cool place. Maybe that is what you guys need, a couple Harleys on a trailer behind the camper for running all of the errands. I bet the bikers there would teach you to ride ;-)

  2. Hey sis...sounds like you are having a great trip/vacation. It has turned hot here already - 85 today. I like 60-70 myself, but no one that matters asks me! LOL.

We had a good visit with Molly and Bob when they were in town for a short stint. All we had was time for a long lunch, but it was nice to see them and see pictures from their trip to the Grand Canyon.

Steve and I are excited about the deck and can't wait to see you guys. Hopefully we have some good weather while you are here. :)

The boys are in soccer (Spencer) and baseball (Nate), so the weekends are full of uniforms and games. Steve and I have Lisa's two little ones all day today because Lisa & Adam are having a yard sale before they move in a few weeks. They are moving to Brownsburg :D - not sure if I told you that or not.

You guys continue to have a good trip and we will see you in a few weeks or so. Love you! Sis.
