Putting up siding
That's what Jack and I did for several hours today. I've discovered that I have a low tolerance for Jack's impatience, throwing things, and sarcasm. Oh, and my being told to get out of the way, when I'm just trying to help also tends to drive me crazy. I guess I can't hope to change him, but in trying to just put up with such behavior, I feel trampled. /rant

My Dad used to do that. Yell throw things make me feel stupid. Rotten feeling
ReplyDeleteBeen there, Janee. I try to remember that the behavior is about him, not me. And I view being told to get out of the way as an instruction to go do something I like better. Does not make things between us any better right away, but I feel better immediately once I am out of the line of fire and reading my book or going for a walk.
ReplyDeleteThis is how our marriage has lasted. We never attempted siding, but we learned (or rather I learned) that hanging wallpaper is more hazardous to a marriage than just about anything. My name is not "Jesus Christ Lynell."
ReplyDeleteIt was not that bad. I like perfection and I guess I should not. The only perfection I have is Janee. Really thankfull for that.Jack
ReplyDeleteI learned early on that if I wanted to get ticked off, just attempt to help my hubby with a project. I would work till I got upset, then remember I had something else to do, and I was out of there....didn't change my hubby but made me feel better. Good Luck
ReplyDeleteDona
JC Lynell... hmmm has a ring to it! LOL and I can see you two trying to put up wallpaper together!
ReplyDeleteLOL yeah, Dona, you're right! It is just a way to make myself mad. Duh, me! This business of trying to learn a new person's pecadillos at this stage in life is certainly an adventure. ;)
Well, not perfection, Jack, but I do come up with some good ideas now and then. And, if I can get you to learn a little patience, that's a bonus! :P
