Shopping in the Rain

I shot this photo on Thurday, at Agua Caliente Park. What blues!

Today we took advantage of the cold and rainy day to catch up on some errands and do a little shopping. At the thrift store, we got Jack a trench coat to wear in the play. When the play's over, we'll donate it to the Entertainers' costume cache.

We went to the mall to pay Jack's Sears bill, got some Wii accessories and camera supplies at Best Buy, and then headed to Fry's for some dinner fixins.

On the spur of the moment, we decided to ask some friends for dinner, we did, and they came! Jack's pork roast filled with my stuffing were delicious, as were the potatoes and asparagus that Jack did on the grill, the salad, croissants, and wine topped it all off.

After we ate, we hustled out to Bob and Claire's slide presentation from their trip to Asia this past fall. They did a 2800-mile, 4-month ride on their tandem bicycle. I found their photos riveting, and their story fascinating. The room was packed. For their trip blog, have a gander at New Bohemians.

It's raining again now, and I'll bet that the snow will be even lower down the mountains surrounding Tucson when we get up in the morning. It is pretty to see it in the mountains!

  1. Hey sis. What beautiful pictures you post! Prouders... :)

I am really ready for the snow and winter to be gone! This has been a very snowy winter and it has seemed like it is forever.

The real estate business is picking up and so I have been busy in my "spare time" but it is fun work. Steve and I are actually having a battle with ourselves about moving or not. There are some great deals out there right now and some tax credits! But, we don't want to leave our cool deck!!!! The whole neighborhood being an issue is also a reason to move, though. Mike has his house up for sale right now. No one is happy here and the yearly dues are way too high for what we are getting. We will see what comes out of the annual meeting this Thursday.

I wish we could find a really cool house like yours. We really like your house, but of course, not so much where it is :)

Miss you guys...love and kisses. Sis.

  2. I'm always glad to see that picture again! I gave you a platinum medal for that didn't I? Should have.

BTW on your slide show you parked your Navion right in the same place we parked our View at White Sands National Monument. Some very nice compositions there. You're pretty good!
